Overview

The Muna New Testament was published in 2004 by Yayasan Sumber Sejahtera. Muna is an Austronesian language spoken by approximately 266,000 people principally on the island of Muna and northwest Buton Island, off the southeast coast of Sulawesi, Indonesia. René van den Berg, a Dutch linguist with SIL, served as translation advisor for the Muna language project from 1990 onward and produced foundational linguistic resources for the language, including A Grammar of the Muna Language (1989) and the Muna-English Dictionary and Kamus Muna-Indonesia (both co-authored with La Ode Sidu).
