Manam New Testament (MVAPNG)

Overview

The New Testament in Manam was published in 1996 by the PNG Bible Translation Association. Bible portions had been available from 1988 before the New Testament's completion. [1] Linguistic work on Manam was carried out by Blaine Turner, who produced a Manam wordlist in 1980 and a teaching grammar of the language in 1986. [2] The Manam people live on Manam Island and nearby Boesa Island in the Bismarck Sea, as well as at Sepa and Wanami on the adjacent mainland in Madang Province, Papua New Guinea. [1]
