Nchane (Ncane) (NCREBL)

Overview

The Nchane (Ncane) New Testament is a translation of the 27 books of the New Testament into the Nchane language (ISO 639-3: ncr), an Eastern Beboid language of the Niger-Congo family spoken by approximately 20,000 people in the North West Region of Cameroon, specifically in the Donga-Mantung and Menchum divisions [1][2]. The translation was completed by Wycliffe Bible Translators, Inc. in 2020 and is available through the YouVersion Bible App and as an Android app [3][4]. Audio Bible resources for the Nchane New Testament are also available [5]. The Ncane people are predominantly Christian, with about 70% identifying as such, alongside 30% practicing ethnic religions [2].
