Nepali Bible (NEPERV)

Overview

The Nepali Bible (NEPERV) is a Bible translation in the Nepali language (ISO 639-3: nep), spoken by approximately 379 million people, primarily in Nepal. Several major Nepali Bible translations have been produced over the years: the Bible Society of India published a Revised Version in 1977, the Nepal Bible Society published the widely used Nepali New Revised Version (NNRV) in 1997, and the World Bible Translation Center published an Easy-to-Read Version in 2004 [1]. The Nepal Bible Society, established in 1975 and officially registered with the government in 2007, is the primary authorized organization for Bible translation, publication, and distribution in Nepal [2].
