కొత్త కరార్ (NITEBL)

Overview

The కొత్త కరార్ (meaning "New Testament") is a New Testament translation in the Southeastern Kolami language (ISO 639-3: nit), written in the Telugu script [1]. Southeastern Kolami is a Central Dravidian language spoken by approximately 1,300 people in the Indian states of Maharashtra and Telangana, particularly in the Adilabad district [1][2]. The translation was published in 2024 by The Word for the World International and made available in 2025 [3]. Kolami is considered a vulnerable language, and this translation represents an effort to provide Scripture access to one of India's smaller tribal language communities [2].
