The New Testament in Inpui Naga (NKFBIV)
Overview
The New Testament in Inpui Naga was released in mid-2012 at Changangei Baptist Church in Manipur, India, after a lengthy translation process. [1] The chief translator was K. Kapangai, with Lungshim Khumba serving as executive secretary of the project. [1] Early translation work was initiated by pioneers including B. Baremchei, N.K. Achun, R. Kujinang, Bt. Sathoi, and Lazarus Khumba. [1] Translation began under the Bible Society of India but stalled when the Rongmei Naga Baptist Association objected; the Inpui Naga Baptist Churches Council subsequently partnered with Bibles International to complete the project independently.
