Nali Genesis and Mark (NSSGAN)
Overview
This publication contains Genesis and the Gospel of Mark in the Nali language of Papua New Guinea, first copyrighted in 2008 by the PNG Bible Translation Association with subsequent editions in 2012 and 2020. [1] Nali, also known as Yiru, is spoken by approximately 5,900 people in the Nali Sopat-Penabu Rural LLG area of Manus Province. [2] The translation was produced by the PNG Bible Translation Association (BTA), which has been working to provide Scripture in the languages of Manus Province, where 30 languages are spoken and translation work for four languages has been completed. [3] The Nali language has one known dialect, Okro, and these Scripture portions represent the initial published segments of a broader translation effort. [2]
