Nounouma Audio Bible Portions (NUVANV)
Overview
This resource contains audio Bible portions in Nounouma (Northern Nuni), produced by ANTBA (Association Nationale pour la Traduction de la Bible et l'Alphabétisation) and distributed through the Faith Comes By Hearing platform under the community's alternate name, Nounouma [1]. Nounouma is one of the primary alternate names by which the Northern Nuni language is known locally in Burkina Faso; it is spoken in the Sanguié and Boulkiemdé provinces by the Nuna (Nunuma) people [2]. ANTBA has been the primary organization responsible for Bible translation into Nuni/Nounouma and related Burkinabè languages since its founding in 1992, operating as the national Bible translation arm of the churches of Burkina Faso in partnership with SIL International [3]. This audio resource complements the Northern Nuni New Testament text (NUVANT) and extends Scripture access to community members who prefer oral formats or have limited reading proficiency [2]. Northern Nuni has an estimated 126,000 speakers, and the production of both text and audio Scripture resources reflects ANTBA's commitment to making God's Word accessible in all formats within this community [2].
