Querétaro Otomi New Testament (OTQWBT)
Overview
The Queretaro Otomi New Testament is a translation of the New Testament into Queretaro Otomi (ISO 639-3: otq), an Oto-Manguean language spoken by approximately 33,000 people in the state of Queretaro, central Mexico. [1] The translation was completed by Nancy Lanier, who after finishing the Mezquital Otomi New Testament in 1971 turned to this second Otomi dialect spoken in Queretaro. [2] The Queretaro Otomi New Testament was published in 2003 by Liga Biblica Internacional, with an audio version following in 2006. [3] Lanier retired after 50 years of service with Wycliffe Bible Translators upon completing this second Otomi New Testament.
