The Pinji Audio Bible (2023) is a Scripture resource produced by CIEATLG for the Pinji-speaking community of Gabon. Pinji (ISO 639-3: pic) — also known as Apindje, Apindji, Apindzi, Apinji, Gapinji, Ghepinzi, and Pinzi — is a Bantu language spoken by approximately 2,100 people in Gabon. The language is considered endangered, with adult community members retaining fluency but younger generations showing reduced transmission. Bible portions became available in 2023 alongside the audio resource distributed, and audio recordings from the Global Recordings Network are also accessible for this language. The 2023 resource represents a significant development in Scripture access for Pinji speakers, who previously had no documented Bible translation in their mother tongue.
