Modern Polish Gdansk Version (POLUBG)

Overview

The Updated Gdańsk Bible (Uwspółcześniona Biblia Gdańska, UBG) is a modernization of the landmark 1632 Polish Gdańsk Bible (Biblia Gdańska), the most significant Protestant Bible translation in Polish history. [1] The project updates the archaic grammar, vocabulary, and syntax into contemporary Polish while preserving the translation's meaning and its Textus Receptus text basis. [1] The NT was published in 2009 and the complete Bible in 2017. [1] The project was initiated by Brent Riggs and Joe West, American pastors who collaborated with Polish nationals through their Fundacja Wrota Nadziei (Gate of Hope Foundation), based in Toruń, Poland.
