The Punan Vuhang Audio Bible is a Scripture resource produced by the Borneo Evangelical Mission (BEM) for the Punan Vuhang community of the upper Balui headwaters region in Sarawak, Malaysia. The Borneo Evangelical Mission, founded in 1928 by Australian missionaries and instrumental in Christian outreach across Sarawak and Sabah, worked among numerous indigenous communities including the Punans. The Punan Vuhang converted to evangelical Christianity in the late 1960s and have maintained a vibrant Christian identity. The resource is listed under ISO 639-3 code pud (Punan Aput), which is the code assigned to this language cluster. With an estimated speaker population of around 700, the Punan Vuhang represent a small but distinct community whose mother-tongue Scripture access through this audio Bible is facilitated by BEM's long-standing presence in the region.
