Gen (Mina) Bible (QEJLLB)

Overview

The Gɛ̃gbɛ Biblia 2014 is a New Testament translation in the Gen language, also known as Mina, published in 2014 by the Bible Society of Togo. [1] Gen is a Gbe language closely related to Ewe and Fon, spoken primarily by the Gen-Mina people of the coastal Maritime Region of southeastern Togo and neighboring Benin. [2] This was the first Bible translation in the Gen language, addressing a longstanding need: although the Mina are one of the largest people groups in Togo, Mina Christians previously had to read the Bible in a trade language such as French or Ewe.
