أَذْلِيسْ إِقدّْسنْ (RIFA)
Overview
This is the complete Bible (66 books) in the Tarifit language, presented in Arabic script. Tarifit is a Berber (Tamazight) language spoken by approximately 6 million people, primarily in the Rif region of northern Morocco, with some speakers in Algeria. [1] The translation is published by www.tarifit.info with a copyright date of 2020. This edition is one of two script variants of the same Tarifit Bible translation in this repository; the Latin script version is cataloged as RIFL. The first portions of the Bible in Tarifit appeared as early as 1887 (the Gospel of Matthew) and 1890 (the Gospel of John), both printed in London by Stephen Austin and Sons. [2] The first complete New Testament in Tarifit was printed in 2009, made available in Tifinagh, Latin, and Arabic scripts. [2] The full Bible, translated from the original Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek, was subsequently completed and published through tarifit.info in multiple formats including mobile apps, PDF, and EPUB.
