Adlis Iqeddsen (RIFL)
Overview
Adlis Iqeddsen is the complete Bible (66 books) in the Tarifit language, presented in Latin script. Tarifit (also known as Riffian or Tmaziɣt n Arif) is a Berber language spoken by approximately 6 million people, primarily in the Rif region of northern Morocco, with some speakers in Algeria. [1] The translation is published by www.tarifit.info with a copyright date of 2020. This edition is the Latin script variant of the same Tarifit Bible also available in Arabic script (cataloged as RIFA in this repository). The first Tarifit Scripture portions date back to 1887, when the Gospel of Matthew was printed in London, followed by the Gospel of John in 1890. [2] The first complete New Testament was published in 2009 by DHIMH Multimedia, simultaneously in Tifinagh, Latin, and Arabic scripts. [2] The full Bible was translated from the original Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek and is available through tarifit.info in multiple formats including mobile apps, PDF, EPUB, and audio MP3. [3]
