Romanian: Easy-to-Read Version (RONERV)
Overview
The Romanian Easy-to-Read Version (Traducere în limba română modernă) is a full Bible translation into contemporary Romanian, produced by the World Bible Translation Center (WBTC), a subsidiary of Bible League International. [1] The Easy-to-Read Version (ERV) series originated in 1978 as the English Version for the Deaf and was later expanded into over 50 languages, using a dynamic equivalence (thought-for-thought) approach that prioritizes clarity and accessibility. [1] The Romanian ERV uses simplified vocabulary and short sentences to make the text accessible to readers with varying literacy levels. Full ERV Bibles are now available in 24 languages, with New Testaments in 33 additional languages. [1]
