Kuhane Bible (SBSDOR)
Overview
The Kuhane Bible is a New Testament translation in the Subiya language, completed in 2020 by the Door43 International Mission Community. [1] Door43 is an online platform managed by unfoldingWord that facilitates collaborative, open-licensed biblical content creation and translation. [2] Subiya (also known as Kuhane, Ikuhane, or Chisubia) is a Bantu language classified under Zone K.40, spoken primarily in the Zambezi Region of northeastern Namibia, the Chobe District of Botswana, and the Western Province of Zambia. [3] The Subiya people derive their alternative name "Kuhane" from the Ikuhane River, their name for the Chobe River. [3]
