Sinaugoro New Testament (SNCPNG)
Overview
The New Testament in the Sinaugoro language of Papua New Guinea, titled "Ginitago Variguna," was completed in 1995 and published by the Bible Society of Papua New Guinea with support from Wycliffe Bible Translators. [1] Sinaugoro is an Austronesian language spoken in the Rigo District of Central Province, where it is closely related to Motu. [2] A linguistic survey by Dr. T. Dutton (1970) identified 17 dialects of Sinaugoro spread across an area of approximately 720 square kilometers. [2] A grammar of the language was published by Gerhard Tauberschmidt as part of the Pacific Linguistics series. [3]
