The Word of God for All (SPAWTC)

Overview

"La Palabra de Dios para Todos" (PDT), known in English as "The Word of God for All," is a Spanish Easy-to-Read Version of the Bible produced by the World Bible Translation Center (WBTC). [1] The WBTC was founded in 1973 in Arlington, Texas, with the goal of producing clear, accessible Scripture translations in the world's major languages. [2] The Spanish New Testament was first published in 2000, and the complete Bible followed in 2005. [1] The translation uses simple, contemporary Spanish intended for readers across Latin America and Spain, including young people, new readers, those with limited religious background, and those who speak Spanish as a second language. [1] With over four million copies distributed, the PDT has also served as a reference text for translators of indigenous-language Bibles. [1] The WBTC later merged with Bible League International, which now holds the copyright and continues distribution. [2]
