Tawala New Testament (TBOWBT)
Overview
The Tawala New Testament was first published in 1985 by Wycliffe Bible Translators and the Bible Society of Papua New Guinea. Tawala is an Austronesian (Oceanic) language spoken by approximately 10,000 people in Milne Bay Province, Papua New Guinea. Bryan Ezard, an SIL linguist who authored "A Grammar of Tawala" (Pacific Linguistics, 1997), conducted extensive fieldwork in the language and was likely closely involved in the translation work.
