God's Word in Tetun (TETTET)
Overview
God's Word in Tetun contains Genesis and the New Testament in Tetun Belu (also called Tetun Terik or Tetun Loos), published in 2013. The translation was produced by Unit Bahasa dan Budaya, GMIT (UBB-GMIT), a language and culture unit of the Gereja Masehi Injili di Timor (Evangelical Christian Church of Timor), in cooperation with The Seed Company (USA) and Wycliffe Bible Translators International (Australia). [1] The translation was made directly from the original Greek text using a meaning-based translation methodology, rather than from Portuguese, English, or Indonesian Bibles. [1] Tetun Belu is spoken primarily in the Belu and Malaka regencies on the Indonesian side of Timor, near the border with Timor-Leste.
