Tajik Bible Portions (TGKIBT)
Overview
This edition contains portions of the Bible in the Tajik language, published in 2010 with additional material in 2014. The copyright is held by Фонди «Калом» (Fondi Kalom, "Word Foundation"), a Tajik partner organization that also appears under its Russian name "Fond Slovo" in connection with other Tajik Scripture publications. [1] IBT's Tajik translation work spans several decades: the first complete Tajik Bible was published by IBT in 1992, and subsequent revised editions and individual books have followed. [1] Earlier IBT publications include the Gospel of Mark (1981), the New Testament (1983), and a revised New Testament (1993). [1] The Tajik language, a variety of Persian written in Cyrillic script, is the official language of Tajikistan with over 8 million speakers.
