Overview
The Book of Proverbs in Tsakhur was published in 2012 by the Institute for Bible Translation. Tsakhur is a Northeast Caucasian (Nakho-Dagestanian) language spoken by approximately 6,300 people in Dagestan (Russia) and 12,900 in Azerbaijan, and is written in both Cyrillic and Latin orthographies. [1] This publication is part of IBT's broader Tsakhur translation project, which aims to produce a complete New Testament. Other published Tsakhur Scripture portions include the Gospel of Luke (2003), John 1:1-17 (2008), Gospel parables (2017), and several Old Testament narrative booklets (2020).
