Pisaflores Tepehua Bible (TPPWBT)

Overview

The Pisaflores Tepehua Bible contains Scripture portions translated by Wycliffe Bible Translators in the Pisaflores variety of the Tepehua language, spoken in the state of Veracruz, Mexico. [1] Pisaflores Tepehua is one of three distinct Tepehua languages (along with Huehuetla and Tlachichilco Tepehua) within the Totonacan language family, which encompasses both the Totonac and Tepehua branches spoken across the states of Puebla, Hidalgo, and Veracruz. [2] [3] With approximately 2,500 speakers, Pisaflores Tepehua is considered an endangered language, making this translation an important resource for both Scripture access and language preservation.
