Rote Tii Bible (TXQUBB)

Overview

Genesis and the New Testament in the Tii language of Rote Island, eastern Indonesia, copyrighted 2004-2011 by Unit Bahasa dan Budaya (UBB-GMIT), the Language and Culture Unit of the Gereja Masehi Injili di Timor (GMIT). [1] The copyright date range suggests the translation was completed in stages, with initial work from 2004 and revisions continuing through 2011; the YouVersion edition lists a 2016 copyright in cooperation with Wycliffe Bible Translators. [2] The translation was part of a multi-language Bible translation initiative on Rote Island coordinated by UBB-GMIT in partnership with the Seed Company and Wycliffe Bible Translators, which initiated translation projects in several Rote languages including Tii, Dela, Rikou, and Lole.
