Zoogocho Zapotec New Testament (ZPQTBL)

Overview

The Zoogocho Zapotec New Testament was published in 1987 by Wycliffe Bible Translators in the Zoogocho Zapotec language (also known as Zapoteco de Yalina, Dizaʼxon), spoken in the San Bartolomé Zoogocho area of Oaxaca, Mexico. [1] The translation is titled "Dizaʼ güen c̱he ancho Jesucristo" in the vernacular. An audio recording of the New Testament was produced in 1996. [1] The printed edition was published by Bible League International.

Language and People

Zoogocho Zapotec (ISO 639-3: zpq) is spoken by approximately 1,000 people in Southern Central Mexico. [Glottolog: zoog1238]
