Dr. Paul W. Esposito’s translation of the Bible eschews more recently discovered manuscripts and leans heavily on the Byzantine Majority manuscripts that were used by the first Protestant Reformers. For Esposito, these are the original, most faithful visions of the Christian scriptures, free from the projections of modern translators who he considers compromised by 21st century concerns. As such this is a modernization of Bibles like the Geneva and KJV translations.
