Bench is a Northern Omotic language of the "Gimojan" subgroup, spoken by about 174,000 people in the Bench Maji Zone of the South West Ethiopia Peoples' Region, in southern Ethiopia, around the towns of Mizan Teferi and Shewa Gimira.
