The Republic of the Congo, a Central African nation, has French as its official language, which is used in administration, education, and media. Religion in the Republic of the Congo is predominantly Christian, with approximately 90% of the population adhering to Christianity. The constitution guarantees freedom of religion, and other religious communities include practitioners of traditional African religions (4.4%) and Muslims (1.6%).
