Sweden is a Nordic country located in Northern Europe with a population of approximately 10.4 million people. Swedish is the official language of the country and is spoken by the vast majority of the population. Finnish, Meänkieli (Tornedalen Finnish), Romani, Yiddish, Sami, and other languages are recognized as minority languages in Sweden.

Sweden is a secular country with freedom of religion. Christianity is the largest religion in Sweden, with the majority of the population identifying as Christian. The Church of Sweden, which is Lutheran, is the largest Christian denomination in the country, with approximately 60% of the population belonging to the Church. Other Christian denominations, including the Roman Catholic Church, the Eastern Orthodox Church, and various Protestant churches, account for approximately 8% of the population. Islam is the second-largest religion in Sweden, with approximately 5% of the population identifying as Muslim.
