Minaifia New Testament (AAIWBT)
Overview
The Miniafia Bible translation project was initiated by David C. Wakefield and his wife Fran Wakefield on December 7th 1973. It would take thirty seven years to finish and ready the New Testament for publication.
The Miniafia translation team has been headed by Stanley Oyabuwa for many years. He was the primary initiator and supervisor of translation for most of the New Testament, and for the Old Testament. Stanley’s brother-in-law, Josiah Javeve was very influential and active in the New Testament portion of the project. It would take thirty seven years to finish and ready the New Testament for publication. The old testament is currently being worked on.
