Agul Gospel of Luke (AGLIBT)

Overview

The Agul Gospel of Luke contains Bible portions in the Agul (Aghul) language, written in Cyrillic script, published by the Institute for Bible Translation (IBT Russia). The main content is the Gospel of Luke (2005), with additional portions including Four Parables (2007) and Ruth and Jonah scheduled for 2026. [1] The Aghul people live in 21 villages within the Republic of Dagestan, Russia, with approximately 20,563 speakers. IBT has used oral translation methodology for some Aghul work, reflecting the oral culture of the community. [1]
