Filifita New Testament (AOJFIL)

Overview

The New Testament in the Filifita Language (Ilahita Dialect), East Sepik Province, Papua New Guinea, published in 1998 under the vernacular title Basef Buꞌwami Godi. [1] Filifita is a dialect of Mufian (Southern Arapesh), itself a member of the Arapesh branch of the Torricelli language family; Filifita speakers make up more than half of the approximately 11,000 Mufian-speaking population [2] — about 6,000 people as of 1999. The translation was produced by Wycliffe Bible Translators, and the same 1998 text is also issued in the broader Mufian edition. A separate Mufian New Testament was also published in 1998. [1]
