Au New Testament (AVTWBT)

Overview

The New Testament in the Au language of Papua New Guinea, published in 1992 under the vernacular title Hɨm Yaaim Me God by Wycliffe Bible Translators. [1] Au (ISO 639-3: avt) belongs to the Wapei branch of the Torricelli language family, spoken in East Sepik Province in the Torricelli mountain range region. Linguistic documentation of Au was carried out through the Summer Institute of Linguistics, including a phonological description by David P. Scorza based on research conducted in 1971. [2]
