Girawa New Testament 1994 Edition (BBRWBT)

Overview

The New Testament in the Girawa language of Papua New Guinea was published in 1994 by Wycliffe Bible Translators, Inc. [1] Girawa, also known as Bagasin, Begasin, or Begesin, is a Papuan language of the Kokon Family (Mabuso Stock), spoken by people living in the Begesin area approximately 30 miles southwest of Madang in the Ramu Sub-district. [2] SIL linguist Patricia Lillie worked on Girawa language documentation from 1976 to 1999, compiling a Girawa-English dictionary of nearly 3,000 entries. [3] The vernacular title Anut nukan Ämän Eposek means "God's Holy Word."
