Banggai 2002 Edition (BGZLAI)
Overview
The Banggai 2002 Edition is the first New Testament translation into the Banggai language, titled "Kitab Moliyous Bilita Monondok" (also known as "Balita Monondok"). [1] It was published in January 2002 by the Indonesian Bible Society (Lembaga Alkitab Indonesia). [2] Banggai is a Celebic (Austronesian) language spoken by the inhabitants of the Banggai Archipelago off the eastern coast of Sulawesi in Central Sulawesi Province, Indonesia. [3] The translation made the New Testament accessible for the first time in the everyday language of the Banggai-speaking community.
