Bimin New Testament (BHLPNG)

Overview

The Bimin New Testament, titled "Sunbin-Got em Kitakamin Weng," contains the New Testament and portions of the Old Testament—Genesis, Ruth, Daniel, and Jonah—in the Bimin language of Papua New Guinea. [1] It was published in 2008 by the Bible Society of Papua New Guinea, with the translation carried out by Wycliffe Bible Translators. [2] Bimin is a Trans-New Guinea language—more specifically an Ok (Mountain Ok) language—spoken in the mountainous interior of the Sandaun (West Sepik) and Western Provinces, in the Telefomin District within the rugged Star Mountains region of central New Guinea. The translation is available under a Creative Commons Attribution-No Derivatives 4.0 license, enabling broad distribution through digital platforms. [2]
