Overview

The Bete-Bendi New Testament was published in 1982 and represents the first Scripture in the Bete-Bendi language. Scripture portions were first available in 1977. [1] Bete-Bendi (also known as Bette, Dama, or simply Bendi) is a Bendi-branch Niger-Congo language spoken by approximately 100,000 people in the Obudu Local Government Area of Cross River State in southeastern Nigeria, with two documented dialects, Bete and Bendi. The 1982 New Testament is distributed by Faith Comes By Hearing as a drama audio edition alongside the printed text.
