God's Living Word (1996) (ENGGLW)

Overview

God's Living Word is a translation of the Gospel of John and John's Letters (1-3 John) into contemporary American English, published in 1996 by Michael Paul Johnson. [1] Johnson, the editor behind eBible.org and a long-time producer of public-domain and openly licensed digital Scripture, prepared it as a personal modern-English rendering of the Johannine corpus. This was an early product of Johnson's Bible translation work, which began in 1994 and eventually grew into the World English Bible (WEB) project — a public domain modern English translation of the full Bible considered complete in 2020. [2] The translation is distributed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 licence.
