Young's Literal Translation (ENGYLT)

Overview

Young's Literal Translation is a translation of the Bible into English, first printed in Edinburgh in 1862. The translation was made by Robert Young (1822–1888), a self-taught Scottish scholar and compiler of Young's Analytical Concordance to the Bible and Concise Critical Comments on the New Testament, who held to a strict word-for-word rendering of the Textus Receptus and the Masoretic Text. Young issued a revised edition in 1887, and a further revised edition appeared in 1898, ten years after his death. Young's Literal Translation is in the public domain.
