The Fuliiru Bible is a complete Bible translation published in 2018 by Wycliffe Bible Translators. The Fuliiru (Bafuliiru) people live in Uvira Territory, South Kivu Province, eastern DR Congo, with approximately 400,000 speakers. [1] The translation bureau was established in 1981 under the initiative of Reverend Pastor Ruhigita Ndagora, who partnered with Wycliffe International. [1] Roger and Karen Van Otterloo (SIL International) led the translation efforts, beginning with writing system design. [2] The New Testament was dedicated in January 2000 with 10,000 copies published, and the full Bible was completed in 2018.
