The Bible in Mbya Guarani (GUNBGN)

Overview

This is a public domain Bible text in Mbyá Guaraní, cataloged with a date of 1923. Mbyá Guaraní is a Tupí-Guaraní language spoken by approximately 17,000 people across southern Brazil, northeastern Argentina, and eastern Paraguay, with communities primarily located in the Atlantic Forest regions of Paraná, Santa Catarina, Rio Grande do Sul, São Paulo, and Rio de Janeiro [1][2]. The Mbyá Guaraní people have maintained a distinct cultural and linguistic identity among the Guaraní subgroups, despite centuries of territorial displacement dating back to the 16th century [2].
