ክለ ጫቃ (GYLEBL)

Overview

This is a Scripture translation in the Gayil language (also called Northern Ari or Gelila), an Omotic language spoken by approximately 55,700 people in the Southern Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples' region, South Omo Zone, Gelila district, Ethiopia. [1] The Gayil people cannot understand the Aari New Testament despite geographic proximity, creating a genuine need for a separate translation. [2] The translation was published in 2025 by The Word for the World International in Ethiopic (Ge'ez) script.
