Nouveau Testament Havu (HAVEBL)

Overview

The Nouveau Testament Havu is a New Testament translation in the Havu language (Kihavu/Gihavu), a Bantu language spoken mainly in Idjwi and Kalehe territories of Sud-Kivu Province, eastern DRC. The Bahavu primarily inhabit Idjwi Island in Lake Kivu and the territory of Kalehe. [1] Havu was the Seed Company's 1,500th language for Bible translation. [2] The translation team works from Goma due to security concerns in outlying villages. The translation was published in 2025 by The Seed Company.
