Janji Bible (JNIDOR)
Overview
The Janji Bible is a 2020 New Testament translation into Janji (also called Ajanji or Anafejanzi), a Kainji language of central Nigeria. [1] The Janji people number approximately 2,300 and live in Lere Local Government Area of Kaduna State and Bassa LGA of Plateau State. [2] The translation was produced by a team of Janji speakers including Chrispher Ishaya, Daduhus Timothy Danjuma, Danjuma Alfred H, Ishaku B. Kubgak, and Timothy Danjuma, working through the Door 43 International Mission Community. [1] It is released under the Creative Commons Attribution Share-Alike 4.0 license. About 55% of the Janji people identify as Christian. [2]
