Perjanjian Baru Kalumpang (KLILAI)

Overview

The Perjanjian Baru Kalumpang (New Testament in the Kalumpang language) was published by Lembaga Alkitab Indonesia, the Indonesian Bible Society, as part of its long-standing commitment to translating and distributing Scripture in the hundreds of regional languages of Indonesia. The Kalumpang New Testament is a 512-page printed volume available through the Indonesian Bible Society's distribution network. The Indonesian Bible Society (Lembaga Alkitab Indonesia, LAI) was founded in 1954 and has produced translations in dozens of Indonesia's regional languages, prioritizing communities with limited access to Scripture in their heart language. The Kalumpang people traditionally practiced animism, and the availability of the New Testament in their language has supported the growth of the Christian community in the region.
