Kobon New Testament (KPWPNG)

Overview

The New Testament in the Kobon language of Papua New Guinea, titled Mano Kamɨŋ, published in 2005 by the Bible Society of Papua New Guinea. [1] The translation was carried out by Wycliffe Bible Translators. [1] Kobon is a Trans-New Guinea language spoken by approximately 10,000 people in the Madang and Western Highlands provinces. SIL International has been involved in documenting the Kobon language, including phonological and syntactic studies. [2] This was a new translation, representing the first time the New Testament was made available in the Kobon language.
