The New Testament in the Molima Language of Papua New Guinea (MOXFNS)

Overview

The Molima New Testament was dedicated on July 27, 2010, translated by Folk&Språk (Wycliffe Sweden) with the Swedish Mission Alliance and the Molima Translation Committee. [1] The translation work was carried out by Helena and Leif Engkvist, who also produced linguistic publications on the Molima language. [1][2] Folk&Språk sent their first Bible translators to Papua New Guinea in 1973. [1] The Molima people live on the western part of Fergusson Island in the D'Entrecasteaux Islands, Milne Bay Province. Molima is an Austronesian language belonging to the Dobu-Duau cluster of the Papuan Tip Oceanic languages.
