Huasteca Occidental Nahuatl Bible (NHWTBL)

Overview

The Huasteca Occidental Nahuatl Bible, titled "Icamanal toteco; Santa Bíblia" in the vernacular, is a complete Protestant Bible (66 books) published in 2005 by Wycliffe Bible Translators. [1] It is one of three coordinated Bible translations for the Huasteca Nahuatl varieties, alongside the Central (NCHTBL) and Eastern (NHETBL) editions, all published in the same year. Western Huasteca Nahuatl (ISO 639-3: nhw) belongs to the Eastern Nahuatl branch of the Uto-Aztecan language family and is spoken by approximately 400,000 people in the western portion of Mexico's Huasteca region, primarily in the state of San Luis Potosí.
