Panjabi Open Version (PANOVV)

Overview

The Panjabi Open Version is the Indian Revised Version (IRV) of the full Bible in Eastern Punjabi, written in the Gurmukhi script, produced by Bridge Connectivity Solutions Pvt. Ltd. of New Delhi and completed in 2019. [1] Panjabi is a major language of the Indian subcontinent with approximately 80 million speakers, and is the official language of the Indian state of Punjab. This translation is part of Bridge Connectivity Solutions' multi-language IRV project, which provides open-access Bible translations in Indian languages under a Creative Commons Attribution Share-Alike 4.0 license. [1] The digital text is available through the VachanOnline platform and companion VachanGo mobile app, with audio recording produced by Davar Partners International. [2] The Open Version is also distributed through the Digital Bible Library and YouVersion as part of Bridge Connectivity Solutions' open-licensed Indian-language Scripture series.
